EMDR

EMDR – EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING

EMDR, a therapy developed by Francine Shapiro, and approved for use with clients, assists with healing of trauma. The trauma can be a single incident such as a car accident or long term trauma over a period of days, weeks or years. Specific examples of traumas include accidents, illnesses and treatment trauma, abuse, divorce, and other incidents or circumstances that proved to be traumatic to you. The therapy uses the whole brain to resolve the trauma so that you are not retraumatized during the treatment, and the issues become resolved. What you can expect from treatment is to remove the strong emotional charges associated with the past trauma so that you are no longer feel the heavy negative reaction when you think of them.

FORGIVENESS

FORGIVENESS

Would you like to soar ahead in life unencumbered by emotional baggage? Then ask yourself: Is there anyone that you need to forgive or who needs to forgive you? Holding onto hurts, resentments of grudges takes up a lot of energy, even when you aren’t thinking about it. It’s like carrying a backpack that you have forgotten is there and yet it weighs you down. This is true for any emotional baggage, but especially for people that you carry in the pack that you have not forgiven. And why is it so hard to forgive or even forget? Because there is an erroneous belief that forgiving someone makes what they did alright. When you forgive, you are not saying that the situation isn’t hurtful, but are taking full responsibility for attracting the situation and letting it go through forgiveness. It merely says that you are done carrying the emotional hurt that gives away your Inner Spiritual power.

*Good Faith Estimate – The No Surprises Act

The Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of services that are reasonably expected for your psychotherapy needs. It does not include any unknown or unexpected costs such as additional treatment sessions, requested by you or added to the estimate based on recommendations and mutual agreement.

If you are billed more than agreed upon in the estimate or outlined in your insurance plan, please notify us and let us know of any disparity or error in what you were expecting. We can come to a new agreement, if needed or update the estimate/bill for accuracy. If you exhaust the options to try to resolve an unexpected bill with your therapist, the law allows for a dispute. This good faith estimate does not include costs for unexpected charges for missed appointments with less than 24 hr. notice or failure to attend the scheduled session. If your recommended schedule of therapy changes, you will be notified and a new estimate will be provided.

The new federal No Surprises Act has procedures for you to take if you cannot resolve your cost issues with your therapist. A dispute process with the Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) can be initiated within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the dispute of the charges. There is a $25 charge to dispute. If the agency reviewing your dispute disagrees with you, you will have to pay the fee and will have to pay the amount of your bill. If the agency agrees with you, you will not need to pay the additional charges. If you need to dispute or want information about a dispute visit www.cms.gov.nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Costs for therapy services vary depending upon insurance coverage vs out-of-pocket payment. Each service will be estimated individually.
