TV Spirituality and Sci-Fi Superheroes

The year in review

Traveling along the Spiritual TV route are great thinkers and leaders such as Maya Angelou, Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddhist author of books on Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy and Liberation, and Eben Alexander author of Proof of Heaven.   Spiritual superheroes all, these powerhouse leaders’ destination is the program Super Soul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey on the OWN network. Twitter at #supersoulsunday and catch the show on Sundays at 11:00 AM or at:

“The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don’t wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

Fantasy Superheroes are big at the box office this year!  Star Trek and Iron Man made a comeback in spring 2013. The Man of Steele, Superman and even The Lone Ranger were 2013’s summer options.   Special effects abound, as do plot, drama, and just enough humor to make the movies interesting. Want to be more like your favorite superhero?  Ask yourself, what might your favorite superhero say about you? Check out the feedback they might give. Use it to keep your heroes, while you become one of your own. And maybe the real heroes at Super Soul Sunday will give you ideas about your own inner hero.
